UPDATE
...after recovering from the shinsplints that came about prior to the Liverpool race, I'm finally re-racing and now completing Run or Dye in London on 27th September along with my team 'Your Pace or Mine?' with a little help from my friends training partner Staci, Matt and Rickie!
Your money is going to an invaluable cause that is still so close to my heart, especially as I reflect back on what we were dealing with this time last year on the run up to the year anniversary of his death. I cannot thank you enough for every pound donated. Time seems to escape me - still no closer to accepting that he is no longer a visible part of our lives but will hope that I continue to do him proud.
"My father gave me the greatest gift anyone can give - he believed in me."
A 10K run is nothing compared to the battle Dad was forced to face after being diagnosed with Leukaemia, regrettably losing his short fight in November. Words cant explain how much he's missed every single day - and he certainly should have had the chance to see Leicester City make the Premiership!
A run is definitely something Dad would laugh at me for doing - I'm not the runner of the family! And only have 3 weeks to train for it... shit. Not quite a marathon but the first steps and a chance for me to try to raise money in his name to help others facing what he did.
Your money is going to a fantastic cause - please give generously. Thanks in advance for your support..
