Story
I need your help...and cash!
So here I am again, this time running (and walking) the London Marathon in April '23. Its taken me a while to get my backside into gear, but now I can't wait. This June marks FIVE years since I was given the all clear from breast cancer which is a poignant and to be celebrated. What betting way than running, walking and spluttering around London with thousands of other sweaty participants.
I've pledged to run for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. The shame of miscarriage is over-whelming. I had four in total in my 30's. To then experience an unsuccessful pregnancy because it is growing somewhere other than the womb can be life threatening. When I experienced both I didn't feel there was anywhere to go for support. I didn't even know of this Trust and their work. Please help me to raise this money to support their work. Whatever you can spare will help me to get through this when those miles get tough. Even a the price of a coffee would be so appreciated. The following tells you a bit about them:
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust strives to provide information, education and support to those affected by early pregnancy complications and to the health professionals who care for them. Ectopic pregnancy is a common, life-threatening condition that is the leading cause of maternal death in the first trimester of early pregnancy. The condition affects around 1 in 80 pregnancies in the UK and occurs when an embryo grows outside of the womb. The EPT believes that the deaths and trauma associated with ectopic pregnancy should be prevented. We seek to relieve the distress associated with the experience and provide ongoing support through their treatment and beyond. Please support our passionate runners who will be training hard to pound the streets of London raising crucial funds and awareness for ectopic pregnancies.
Please consider sponsoring me and helping the charity, and me to celebrate those 5 years. Every little helps and it really does get you through those tough achy miles and the hours of training.
Thanks a million x
