2 years ago we lost our beautiful friend Paula to the dreaded cancer. This year, I have decided to ('attempt to') run the 2018 Great North Run. I know Paula will be delighted that I have chosen to raise money for a charity so close to her heart and I also know she will be in stitches at the thought of me running 13.1 miles but hey, it's all in aid of an amazing charity who do amazing things on a day to day basis. 

I have been very fortunate enough to visit Maggies Newcastle to see first hand the amazing work they do. Not only do Maggies help individuals who are personally affected by cancer but they also extend their facilities to friends and families of those affected. I know Paula's family were also comforted and supported by the amazing people at Maggies. 

The sad part is, we all know someone affected by the dreaded disease we know as cancer...please please please can we support Maggies so they can continue their amazing work! 

However small the donation, it is greatly appreciated and will go a long way to helping those affected by cancer.
