Fundraising for NSPCC
Story
Hi, My name is Sarah Strudwick and I am going on a sponsored diet for the NSPCC.
I have been on many diets in the past and often for the "wrong reasons". I spent much of my childhood pre teen on sponsored diets when I didn't need to actually go on them when it was actually just puppy fat. I was a healthy 5 foot nine size 14 and when I hit my teens I was put on banned slimming pills which I stayed on for almost 5 years I spent much of my time eating not more than an apple a day between the ages of 12 and 17 so I could be the perfect size trying to reach a perfect weight that I could never achieve. Of course I was "never" going to be the perfect size because I already was ! I was just a healthy teenager growing up. The more I took the pills the more I could not eat and it became a very viscious cycle.
As a result I ended up with body image dysmorphia and then as as adult grew up to actually have a weight problem as a result of messing with what was a very healthy metababolism.
I am now quite overweight and plan to raise money for the NSPCC by losing nearly 5 stone. I would like people to sponsor me either as a one off amount or for each pound lost. This time I really do need to lose weight and I will be doing it for a very good cause.
I plan to have the whole lot off within a year and to keep it off permanently.
I have already lost a couple of stone.
I hope you will all please give generously however much you can afford and help to stop childhood abuse.
