Story
I was so privileged during my career as a Clinical Oncologist to care for and treat people with tumours of the brain. Without exception every patient I looked after was brave, stoical and positive in the face of often marked adversity. I remember so many of my patients with extreme fondness and feel now that I have retired from clinical practice I can raise awareness of this issue through fund raising for this wonderful charity.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. We're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we're doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can't wait.
Every donation counts, no matter how small, thank you to all of you for your support, it means so very much to so many people. In memory of the wonderful young man Shaun Lafford, this triathlon has been inspired by both him and by a new friend Steve Lawrence.
