I have known 'Aunty' Ailsa since I was 6 years old. I watched as this cruel disease slowly took everything from her.  Dementia takes many different forms and I saw my own much loved grandmother suffer from a type of the disease which, although left her physically strong, confined her to a confusing world and took her independence. 

There are few families whose lives haven't been touched in one way or another by this cruel illness.

I want to do something to raise money towards finding treatments and support for sufferers and their families, but also to stand with my dear friend Marian and all the many people whose lives have been turned upside down by dementia.
