Story
As I'm sure most of you know, we lost my beautiful sister, Tracey Hoare, in January to cancer after she'd bravely battled so well for so long.
During her final weeks, she was cared for in Sobell House Hospice. So, to show our appreciation I wanted to do something to help raise some more vital funds for them so they can go on and care for other people's sisters, brothers, mums, dads, husbands and wives in the way their cared for Tracey.
Now, I used to run (a bit!) quite some years ago now, but it started dwindling as I got older and found it a bit too hard and painful..one stress fracture was enough really to put me off. I've never managed the distance of a half marathon before and am somewhat daunted by the prospect of it. But, I'm determined to do this in Tracey's memory to raise some cash even it if means I've got to crawl to finish it, which, it probably will!
I'd love to raise as much as possible for Sobell House and to give me the motivation to get my middle-aging body running again, so would really appreciate any amount anyone would like to sponsor me. All funds raised will go straight to Sobell House to enable them to give other families the help so desperately needed at a time like this.
Thanks for reading and if you see me out jogging, don't forget to give me some gentle encouragement..like wave a bag of chips in front of me...or a bottle of beer.
