Story

Many of you supported me last year and I am back to raise more monies and hit 2000 pounds!! I am feeling very conscious to ask for further donations but unfortunately, Alzheimer’s continues to broaden its impact & it doesn’t seem right to stop contributing my (little) bit. Every pound raised is another step nearer to stopping this horrendous disease. It destroys the individual and their family. Yes, you adapt and live with the change but I hate to think of anyone going through what my Nan (& us) experienced. We finally buried her ashes this August 2018, 4 years after losing her. It was good to do but the sadness was more acute - it never goes away, you just tolerate it. Tomorrow Oct 7th, I run the Cardiff HM and next March 2019, London Landmarks HM. My training isn’t easy with MBA studying and am scared I will be very slow but it doesn’t matter. Nothing is as scary as seeing my nan transition into the claws of Alzheimer's - please give any amount to help the scientific community find something to stop this awful disease. Thanks x Sarah
