"If you empower a woman or a girl, then you’ve empowered a home, you’ve empowered a country and you’ve empowered the world”
My name is Sarah Rashid and I am currently an A-Level student. I have created a presentation on Menstruation Taboos in Bangladesh as a part of an Extended Project Qualification. I picked Bangladesh, as I am from there, and have seen first-hand how it can be to deal with the taboos. I am raising money for Marie Stopes as their cause fits in line with my passion; tackling menstruation taboos and looking into menstrual hygiene management, as well as many other amazing causes related to reproductive health.
Marie Stopes Bangladesh deliver their services through approximately 300 service delivery outlets, including 50 static centres, outreach teams accessing hard-to-reach and under-served communities, public sector strengthening, and social marketing channels all over 64 districts of Bangladesh.
