Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So I was watching the Olympics last summer and started to dream of winning a gold medal in Rio. Bear in mind I was 41, smoking and nursing a hangover when I had this dream. I considered the options and decided that my best bet was in archery. That was until I saw that the South Korean Women's team had won every gold medal since it became an Olympic sport. My short Olympic dream had been smashed. What other sport could I try? It had to be a triathlon!
So what if I can't swim front crawl, ride a bike fast and running for a bus is a challenge. What could possibly go wrong? And so it was that I signed up to Blenheim Triathlon June 8th 2013.
That was many months ago and since then I have been getting up early and forcing myself to train in preparation, often reluctantly.

So in memory of the early mornings, the bruises and blisters please can you donate some money to this wonderful charity. Any donation, large or small amount will be greatly appreciated. I know you are all brilliant people so don't let me down and I won't let you down. There will be video clips and photos on my blog after the event so you can all laugh at my lack of ability, but hopefully enthusiastic silliness.
I am raising money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research in memory of my wonderful dad, Bill Profit, who died of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in 2006.
Thank you!
