Easter half marathon for CF Trust

Fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Trust
Like many new parents, before my daughter Lucy was born I didn’t know much about Cystic fibrosis (CF).
CF is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way. However, sadly as a result of the current pandemic charities are massively poorer for lack of funding and for the CF Trust, research could get behind schedule and this will affect lives.
So on Saturday 3rd April, a big group of us are running a half marathon (distanced). Amongst others we have Ben Mcpartland running in Paris, Jon Hodgkinson joining me in Bridge, Rebecca Chatfield in Brighton and many more friends running locally or around the country. We’re hoping to raise £10,000 to help fill some of the void in funding. Help us to ensure that the CF Trust can keep working to improve and extend the lives of those, like my daughter, with CF.
