Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Bristol 10k to raise money for Bristol Children's hospital who saved my son Isaac's life.
Isaac's story:
Isaac was born 11.15am Tuesday 4th September at Treliske Hospital, Truro. All seemed well until the early hours of Wednesday morning when he became cold. He was taken away to be "warmed up" but was having breathing problems so he had to go into intensive care. During the day we were told that he had a heart condition and would have to go to Bristol Children's Hospital for surgery. We all got to Bristol in the early hours of Thursday morning where Isaac was diagnosed with Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Drainage (TAPVD). Isaac had his surgery that afternoon and spent a week in intensive care afterwards and then spent another week on the cardiac ward. We finally came home from Bristol with Isaac on the 21st September (our 1st wedding anniversary). He had his feeding tube removed Tuesday 9th October and has made a full recovery.
