We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

Dear Family and Friends,

Sarah and Karlyn are going to run 10K for Diabetes UK.

Sarah was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when only a few weeks pregnant with Annie and now requires insulin for life.

'It's been a steep learning (and eating) curve for me (and Tom) but we are working out how best to squeeze in a pizza and still get a thrill from getting away with a regular and very necessary intake of chocolate cake...'

Exercise is key to stabilising blood glucose and reducing the long-term effects of diabetes so we are hoping that training (last minute) for a 10k run should knock us both back into shape and give Sarah the confidence to run safely using insulin (and the odd jelly baby when necessary!).

Diabetes UK provided Sarah with some valuable information, tools and support when first diagnosed.

Please donate a small amount  if you can.

Thanks

Sarah and Karlyn x
