Running For Ed Part 2
As many of you know, my Uncle fought a courageous battle with advanced prostate cancer that he unfortunately lost on the 14th July 2018. He was an extremely special man to everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him and he is so incredibly missed.
We go again…… After getting to 16 miles in training last year and 6 weeks out from race day, the marathon was cancelled due to covid and I was gutted! Looking back now though, it looks like it was meant to be as this year marks exactly 30 years since Ed himself ran the London marathon.
Ed firmly believed the future of treating advanced Prostate Cancer was with Immunotherapy. It didn't help him but I hope and know it can help many men in the future. Please take a minute to read about the amazing work that PCR are doing to help men like Ed.
Thank you in advance for any contribution you can make to my fundraising, it really does mean the world to me. The only thing that will get me across that finish line (along with a bit of training and encouragement) will be knowing that Ed will be and is with me every single step of the way.
Wish me luck...!
