On 25^th September I’ll be taking part in the Windsor Half Marathon to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. This is a charity very close to my heart that provides care for terminally ill cancer patients and support for their families. With 9 hospices and 2,000 nurses in the UK, Marie Curie needs to raise £10,000 every hour of every day to provide their services. Having been on the receiving-end of Marie Curie’s support when my own Dad was ill, I am keen to ‘do my bit’ and raise funds for this exceptionally worthy cause.

Believe me, I’m not a natural runner and the training over the past few months has taken a lot of hard work and dedication! However, I’m making good progress and, fingers crossed, I will be  fit and ready to complete the 21km in about 2hrs.
