My friend Louise was an incredible partner, mother and friend. She had the ability to light up a room, she was a truly beautiful soul inside and out. Creating memories with her family was so important to her and she recently spent a month in Thailand after almost a year of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The family hopped from island to island, creating special memories as they went. I will forever remember the video of her horse riding at sunset along a sandy beach with the silhouettes of islands behind her. This time as a family was precious and every family deserves to have these moments. 

“Something to look forward to” Is a  project is a nationwide project that supports families affected by cancer by providing experiences that change their experience of cancer, (such as cottage holidays, restaurants meals, spa breaks) designed to make facing cancer more bearable and provide strong positive foundations and memories. These experiences set people up for success, providing them with much needed breaks and quality time with family, changing the mindset and emotional and mental health of our service users: Im not going to give another day to cancer. I feel ready to face the world.
