Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In January 2011, I joined Slimmingworld with a view to shifting a few extra pounds! I hadn't been there long when the opportunity to join the Slimathon 2011 appeared! The charity, Nightingale House Hospice, is one close to Andy (my Fiancee) and his family's hearts because of his dad, Dave. Having never met him and heard lots of stories about him, I couldn't not raise money for the charity who supported Andy, his dad, his family and their close family friends during an exceptionally difficult time in their lives. Through the stories they tell, Dave's memory lives on and I am proud to offer this small gesture to a man I regrettably never had the opportunity to meet.

On a larger scale, hospices, like Nightingale house, do tremendous work every day all around the country. A hospice in the south of England looked after my Grandad and family during his last days. In order to carry on the amazing work they do, they need donations and support. Although my experience of the hospice here is through Andy, I feel compelled to help to make sure they can do the same for other local families. A small thank you.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you have logged on to donate - thank you for taking the time. Any amount is gratefully received.
