Sarah's 3M's cycle/hike challenge

3M's cycle/hike challenge · 29 July 2017
In July this year we will cycle nearly 500 miles and climb the UKs highest three peaks all in six days. Here's why:
In March 2016 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had planned to cycle the North Coast 500 route, unsupported with my friend Tomo in May. We had to cancel the trip as I had to have surgery.
I was one of the lucky ones, following a double mascetomy, I did not require further treatment - radio or chemo therapy. But the process made me acutely aware of how many lives are touched by cancer.
I was completely overwhelmed by the support of my family and friends pre and post surgery.
I felt strongly that I wanted to ensure I completed a challenge to replace the one I cancelled and to raise a significant amount to try and make a difference.
The same friends and family, without whom I would have far less equipped to deal with having cancer, have pledged time to support, ride, hike and fund raise alongside me. I feel immensely privileged to be part of the team!
Please support us by donating what you can, one in 9 women WILL get breast cancer and that means someone close to me and you WILL be affected sooner or later, so let's ensure we do everything we can to develop further successful treatments and find a cure!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
