Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page - Emma and myself are in a bid to get fit, fit, fit in 2010.
At the same time, we would like to raise some money for some very good and worthwhile charidies.
We chose to support MacMillan Cancer Support as they are a truly valuable charity, offering much needed support to people who have cancer and their families at what is a very difficult time. Find more information out here http://www.macmillan.org.uk/Home.aspx
We will therefore be putting on our running shoes and taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon on 17th October.
Why Cardiff? - no reason really we just didn't want the risk of seeing anyone we know after running 13 miles.....
To help motivate us to put on our running shoes, which are currently still looking shiney and new and very clean indeed, we would be really grateful for any sponsorship from you lovely, generous people.
No pressure as we realise that there are a lot of fundraising activities out there at the moment however, if you would like to sponsor us, remember pennies make pounds so any amount is very gratefully received.
We will be keeping a blog throughout our half Marathon training and you can keep track on a) how many miles we have run; b) how many ankles we have sprained; c) how many glasses of wine we have forfeited and d) how many cadburys cream eggs we have consumed (a training essential) through www.moxandmonkey.co.uk
