Story
The trip will involve spending 5 days trekking through the Andringitra National Park which consists of a wild mountain range. We will attempt to summit the island’s second highest peak Pic Boby and neighbouring Chameleon Peak up to an altitude of 2,658m. The total time trekking will be approx. 30 hours and over a distance of approx. 80km.
Cats Protection’s vision is for a society where every cat has their best possible life because they are protected, cared for and understood by everybody. For anyone that knows me, you know I am a full blown crazy cat lady and this resonates so much for me. I rescued Mouse as a kitten in 2021 after years of wanting and begging for a cat. In the end, I just bought her home and dad had no choice but to fall in love with her… I mean, how can you not?! She very quickly became the most important thing in my life (sorry human friends and family).
To me, doing this trek would one be a massive personal challenge but also for a great cause that helps the millions of cats in the UK. With them being the second most popular pet in the UK, the furry little monsters have wiggled a way into a lot of our hearts and houses.
Cats Protection help more cats than any other organisation and we want to help millions more. We are a dedicated community of passionate employees, volunteers, supporters and partners, working together to make life better for millions of cats and the people who care for them.We are the voice of cats in society and we speak up for their protection. We’re working towards a society where every cat is treated with kindness and respect.
