Only a week left until I undertake this walk - feeling a mixture if things, nerves, excitement and most importantly a need to do well, for my mum. Thanks to everyone who has donated and to everyone who will donate - You have no idea how much this means to me!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Thank you to everyone who's already donated, I cannot believe the support I have received and will continue to receive over the next few months.

On May 24th 2010 my darling mother was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer, it came as a great shock to me and my family. A week later mum went back to Christies in Manchester and was told even worse news; the cancer couldn't be cured. This sent out whole life into turmoil. At only 50 my mum was told she would probably only live for a couple more years. Mum had to give up work, she had been a nurse for over 30 years and had to start chemo almost straight away. It was a tough couple of years for us but our pain was eased by the help of a local charity called the Bury Cancer Support Centre. The help they give is unbelievable for such a small charity. I will never forget the help which they gave us and I will always hold them close to my heart. Unfortunately, mum passed away on the 4th March 2012. I'm hoping that by setting up this page I will be able to raise £££££s for this amazing cause.
