Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

In June 2022, I will be travelling 4350 miles to Tanzania and climbing 19340 ft up Mount Kilimanjaro, in aid of Meningitis Research Foundation.

What is Meningitis? Meningitis is the swelling of the meninges, that surrounds the brain and spinal cord, caused by germs entering the body. This illness can lead to brain swelling, permanent disability, coma, and even death.

This disease affects more than 5 million people every year, however students, like myself, are one of the most at risk groups of people to this disease. That’s why getting the jabs is so important, as well as knowing the symptoms, which you can read more about here: https://www.meningitis.org/meningitis/check-symptoms

MRF aims to defeat meningitis by 2030. A vision that is utterly possible, but only with your donations. Anything is appreciated!

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
