Story
So as many of you may already know, I was unexpectedly accepted into the London Marathon via the ballot.
I was going to run for Myeloma UK again - an incredible charity that supports patients and their families with this heartbreaking cancer, but I raised over £700 earlier this year for them - thank you to everyone who helped!
I decided I’d dedicate any and all donations to Leukaemia and Myeloma Research UK, a charity that puts science before support. As my dad begins to undergo the Stem Cell Transplant Treatment to extend his years further, I wanted to support the science that has extended lives of others and hopefully with the extra monetary support will one day fully cure a patient with Myeloma.
This charity focuses on the three blood cancers; Leukaemia and Lymphoma (both curable but harshly treated cancers), and Myeloma an incurable but treatable cancer.
I would really appreciate any support on this journey, whether a donation or just a “you can do this” message as I attempt to run 26.2 miles 🙈
Thank you.
