On September 24^th I’ll be 'Roughin' it for a Reason' in my backyard.  Why, you ask?  Because I love camping and more importantly, I want to help to raise funds to build a new Nature Centre at Scanlon Creek.  Some of my fondest memories as a child were school trips to conservation areas, and camping trips with my family and friends.  I am proud to be a member of the Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation Board and will also be involved, together with my colleagues at SCS, in the detailed stormwater management design for the new Nature Centre!

Especially during the past few months, too many of us have been stuck inside and in front of our screens instead of outside enjoying nature. The new Nature Centre will provide a space for the whole community  to learn and experience nature first hand.

Help me camp in comfort by reaching my goal! The more donations I receive, the more comfort I'll have.

If I reach $100...I'll get a tent (without a fly)!

If I reach $200…I’ll get a fly for the tent!

If I reach $300...I'll get a sleeping bag!

If I reach $400...I’ll get an air mattress!

If I reach $500...I'll get a pillow!

If I reach $2700...I'll get a flashlight to see the faces of the the uninvited visitors that will come to support me throughout the night and which ones are wearing masks and which ones have a white stripe! :)
