Hello

Last New Year me and my friend Lucy we discussing the excellent work that Macmillan Cancer Support had provided for a surprising number of our friends, family and colleagues throughout the years. Some of whom are thankfully still with us and some who will forever remain in our thoughts and hearts.

I don't if it was the effects of too much New Year bubbly or New Year madness but we hatched a plan to raise as much money as we could for this wonderful cause. What started off as a small idea of holding a coffee morning ended up with us both agreeing that we could do something more spectacular and in keeping with the momentous courage of our friends and the magnificent support Macmillan provides. In a minute of madness we decided we would trek up Machu Picchu which sits 8,000ft above sea level.

It seemed like an excellent idea all those months ago but now that there is only 8 months until we take our first step up the mountain it is time for me to start my training and fundraising in earnest!
