LSTM's Lady Bugs - http://www.justgiving.com/teams/lstm-pink-ladies
I will be running in memory of my lovely Grandad who died on the 26th September 2012, just 9 months after being diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The memories of his struggle still haunt my family to this day, and as with many people battling any form of cancer, it was not the cancer that eventually killed him.
In 2013 I ran the Manchester 10k and walked 11 miles two days beforehand, to raise money in my Grandad's memory for Queenscourt Hospice, Southport, who partly cared for him whilst he was sick.
In 2014 I ran the 10k Race for Life in Southport.
This year I will be running the 5k Race for Life in Sefton Park, Liverpool on the 5th July.
I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK, along with 40+ ladies from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine who will all be running/walking/supporting a cause close to their hearts.
1 in 8 men in the UK will get prostate cancer at some point in their lives. My aim is to raise as much money as possible for CRUK to support their research and hopefully in the process generate awareness of Prostate Cancer.
Every donation will go towards our team page.
Please support our lovely ladies for this great cause. Even if you can donate £1 it would be much appreciated... every penny helps.
Thank you
Sarah xx
