Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As I am sure many of you already know, our lovely Aunty Brenda has this horrible, cruel and heart breaking disease. She has lived with it for a few years now and through our cousins, Jo and Clare, we can see and we hear about the absolutely devastating affect it has had on Aunty Brenda. I cannot think of anything much worse than dementia and specifically Alzeihmers. It affects not just the person with the disease but the whole family.

In these situations, it is very hard to know how to support Clare and Jo. I can supply my ears to listen and my arms for hugging ( I like these too!) but it doesn't feel like a lot or enough at times. 

Therefore, after being spurred on by an Instagram friend (she knows who she is!!) who assured me I am capable of running a marathon, I decided back in October to sign up for Brighton marathon not really thinking about how close it was!!! Then I got the flu so the very small start I had went down the drain!! 

The flu is gone now and I am fighting fit again and we are now almost a month into training and my self belief and confidence that I can and that I will do this is growing with every run. My support team is fully assembled too and they are encouraging me and keeping me on track :-) (Rob, Millie, Bayley, Tom, Sarah, Jack & Amir) 

I am fully aware that this will not be easy, it already has had challenges and more importantly.. It is not meant to be easy. If it was easy it wouldn't be a challenge. 

I am so ready to do this and to take it on and do my very best to raise as much money for Alzeihmer's research as possible. 

I will be so grateful to anyone who can sponsor me for this event, even if its only a £1 you can spare - with these charities, every penny donated really does make a difference. 

If I can fit it in with all the running, we may host charity quiz or karaoke night in the near future, in the meantime.. its just me, my trainers and the road and treadmill.
