Story
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
I can wholeheartedly attest to this. When mum was diagnosed with a brain tumour in April 2022, it felt like the Sue Ryder team scooped us up and helped us navigate through what was such a confusing time.
Mum sadly passed away on 28th June 2022 and I felt I wanted to do something to show my gratitude for mum and the help we all received during the last few weeks of her life.
Mum said she wanted to shave her head, when she got the diagnosis and whilst she didn't get to do it, I am going to do it in her honour. Mum said I was crazy to do it, but what else would she expect from her wild, middle child?
It's happening on Saturday 27th August at 2pm in Thatcham Broadway. You are welcome to come along and cut a a bunch off!
Any amount you can spare for this amazing charity, would be fantastic and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Some people can't help making a difference in our lives
By simply being who they are.
By simply being who they are they make the World...
A little brighter
A little warmer
A little more gentle.
And when they're gone, we realise how lucky we are to have known them.
