Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

2014 is the year I turn 40. To my huge personal surprise, I have decided to mark the occasion by doing something completely unfamiliar, amazing & memorable whilst also raising money for a fantastic cause.
Yes, believe it or not, I have agreed to swap my usual 4inch heels & matching handbag for a pair of hiking boots and a rucksack for 5 days trekking through rural Northern Vietnam in support of the Princes Trust, who raise money for the most disadvantaged young people in the UK.
On the 14th of March 2014, I will be joining a group of around 15 inspirational women and our challenge will be to trek over 90km in five days - up to eight hours per day, through jungle & countryside, up mountains, along riverbanks and across paddy fields. I will be staying with local Vietnamese tribe’s people for 3 nights, in a tent and 2 overnight trains........ Luckily, there are a few hours in a hotel in Hanoi at the end of the trip!
Those of you who know me well enough, will know that over the years, my idea of supporting a charity has been to sponsor & donate rather than to participate. This time the shoe, or should I say hiking boot, is on the other foot!
I have committed to raise at least £3,800 by January 2014 for this brilliant cause before I go and I would be really grateful for your help in reaching this target. Any donation & support you are able to give me will be gratefully received and very much appreciated

Kind Regards Sarah x
