For all that know me, running is not my thing, I would much rather be on the sofa with a nice glass of wine....however this year I have signed up to both the Bristol 10k (31st May) and the Bristol Half Marathon (13th September) to raise money for Children's Liver Disease Foundation.

This charity is very close to mine and my family’s hearts and we continue to support their hard work for young children with liver disease. In January 2007, I met the most wonderful little second cousin (god sister!) I could ever have asked for, however at 5 weeks old Ellen was diagnosed with a rare live condition, Biliary Atresia, and we had to say goodbye to her just 10 months later. So...now I have bought some running shoes and am dedicating my evenings to training to raise money for Ellen and CLDF, with her gorgeous little sisters cheering me on at the side lines, I’m hoping to run and raise lots of money for this fantastic charity so if you can dig down and donate some money, it won’t go to waste.

Children's Liver Disease Foundation is working to provide funding for research, information and emotional support to families affected by the many liver diseases that children suffer from. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
