I, along with three friends, have decided to raise money and awareness for a charity that is not as well known or heard of as most other charities and hopefully by doing this, will make more people aware and will encourage people to be kind enough to donate money towards this charity.</span><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: Arial; color: #1c1c1c; font-size: 10.5pt;"></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 140%; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma; color: #1c1c1c;">The charity is called The <strong><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">“A-T Society”</span></strong> which is for a condition called <strong><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">“</span></strong></span><strong><span style="font-family: Tahoma; color: black;">Ataxia telangiectasia” (A-T)</span></strong><span style="font-family: Tahoma; color: black;">. It is a rare, neurodegenerative and progressive condition which starts in early childhood causing severe disability and premature death.</span><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: Arial; color: #1c1c1c; font-size: 10.5pt;"></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 140%; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma; color: black;">Myself and three others – Nicky Edge, Jackie Edge, and Beccy Harrison have decided to do a sponsored walk to raise money for this charity The walk we have decided to do in <strong><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">July 2011 is 10K/6.5 miles</span></strong>, estimated to be 3-4 hours, begins at Macclesfield Forest and is described as challenging and steep in some parts (oh dear!)</span><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: Arial; color: #1c1c1c; font-size: 10.5pt;"></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 140%; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma; color: black;">There is a girl in my school who has unfortunately been diagnosed with this condition and to make people more aware of this charity and to provide funding for them to continue with their research, would be a dream come true for the little girl and her family.</span><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: Arial; color: #1c1c1c; font-size: 10.5pt;"></span></span></p>
