Story
I've created this page because I want to help the ISPCC keep going through the drop in income that the corona virus is causing the charity sector. It takes a LOT for a young person to contact Childline and I want to make sure there's always someone there when they reach out.
Instead of doing a thousand steps, I've decided to do 10km each day until the corona virus restrictions are lifted because I had been planning on doing the mini marathon. That's ten metres for every kid that contacts Childline each day, and when you think about it like that, that's not a lot compared to what some young people go through that they contact Childine for, is it?
That said, I haven't run for anything more than a bus in at least two years so this is gonna be HARD. Please support me in this by giving what you can to support the ISPCC. it costs, all in, about a fiver to answer each call, if that helps!
You can follow me LIVE on each 10km on my insta stories, my username is sarah_is_ainm_dom
The ISPCC receives very little government funding so public support is vital to its survival.
Childline receives an average of 1,000 calls, texts and online contacts every day from children and young people. Children contact Childline for many reasons they may be experiencing bullying, feel lonely or anxious or may just want to talk something through. Childline volunteers and staff are there to listen to them, to inform, to empower them and to help them build resilience. Please help me keep Childline listening to children 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about ISPCC Childine, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
