Story

I'm Scaling Everest for Sarcoidosis! Im climbing 8,848m (the equivalent of Mount Everest) in 12 weeks to raise funds and awareness for SarcoidosisUK.SarcoidosisUK is a tiny charity that exists to provide support and information for people with sarcoidosis, and to fund research into a cure for the condition. It is currently the among the worlds largest sarcoidosis research funders, and is passionate about helping to find a cure. SarcoidosisUK is dedicated to funding at least one major piece of research per year, and will continue to do this until a cure is found. Please donate - we rely on your support to keep going!

I was diagnosed with this disease eight years ago and it has visited various parts of my body over the years causing unpleasant and painful symptoms.  I am currently suffering from my third flare up in my lungs and lymph and am on a course of steroids which have their own unpleasant side effects. I consider myself relatively lucky, but some people suffer terribly for years.

I hope to raise awareness and raise money to fund valuable research into finding a cure

Sarcoidosis is a rare disease and has poor information, support and little research for finding a cure. We work to change that. Our 4 goals; information, support, awareness and research. We receive no government money and are 100% reliant on your generosity. Any donation makes a huge difference.
