Meet Aaron Why support is needed... Aaron is nine years old and has Autism and speech and language difficulties. This means that at his Cubs group he struggles to express how he is feeling and any changes to the usual routine make him feel very anxious. How we help... Aaron has been matched with a volunteer 'buddy' Maya, and together they attend Cubs. Having a reliable, familiar face, who understands his difficulties, has given Aaron the confidence to join in with this weekly activity. The difference we make... Having a regular volunteer buddy to support him at his activities has given Aaron a routine, which eases his anxiety and means he is able to enjoy taking part. We would say to anyone thinking of joining Me2 Club that it will be something you'll do and then become an enthusiastic advocate for and something you'll be proud you did for the rest of your life.
