Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Riverlands project aims to improve the health of our rivers.  At Lyme that means tackling the influx of non-native species, monitoring the quality of the water in streams and looking at ways to reduce flood risks both on the estate and further downstream in Poynton and the surrounding area.  It is hoped that by planting more trees and constructing leaky dams, the streams and moors can be enabled to hold more water for longer during periods of heavy rain which will then be released gradually.  I think this is a very worthwhile project for our environment and our local community which I hope you will help me support!

Donating through JustGiving is a simple, fast and totally secure way of supporting this project. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
