This is the first fundraising event we are completing in memory of our gorgeous son Tom. He passed away suddenly and unexpected in November 2022. 

On the 20th May 2023, we are coming together with family, friends, colleagues and the lovely ladies who cared for Tom and his sister at Polly’s nursery to complete the Forget Me Not colour run 3k or 5k at Greenhead Park in Huddersfield. 

Tom was such a happy little boy who loved games and books with lots of anticipation and surprises in. We think that Tom would love the excitement and spirit of the colour run! 

John and I will both be completing the 5k run/ jog which will certainly be a challenge for me.

It means a lot to us that so many people who knew Tom and who care about our family also want to join us and take part in the colour run. We think it will be a very special and memorable day. 

We are raising money for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Huddersfield. Since Tom’s death they have provided our family and Tom’s nursery with specialist Sudden Unexpected Death in Childhood (SUDIC) bereavement support, both practically and emotionally and are continuing to do so. 

Forget Me Not are the only hospice in the UK who offer this service which is funded solely by donations and fundraising. 

We hope that by completing this event we can raise some money so that Forget Me Not can continue the amazing work they are doing with us and other families in the future.

We have set this page up as a group fundraising page, so participants can use it to raise donations or pay donations in if they do not wish to set up their own just giving page. 

All funds will be greatly appreciated, paid directly to Forget Me Not and recorded in Toms memory.
