Story
My mum was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in March this year, which is currently incurable. She is losing the use of her arms and legs, her voice is weakening and she is even struggling to breathe. She needs help with every aspect of everyday life and now has a limited lifespan as a result of this cruel disease.
The MND Association have been incredibly supportive to my mum and my family during this heartbreakingly difficult time. They have been supportive emotionally, answered questions and crucially have provided equipment and even funding towards equipment to allow my my mum to lead as 'normal' a life as possible.
Taking part in this event is my way of giving something back to the MND Association, by helping to raise funds so that they can continue to offer their help to other people. I also hope to contribute to raising awareness of this devastating illness, and pray that one day research will enable a cure.
Thanks for visiting my page and for your support. Me and my mum really appreciate it.
Listen up MND, we're after you.
Sarah
Funds raised will go to the national office of the MND Association to fund research, care and campaigning and also the MND Association Northampton branch to be used locally.
