In June last year I took part in the hardest challenge I have ever done and saw first hand the incredible work this charity does. 

For the fifth year running Debenhams is supporting Help for Heroes by entering a team in the Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2019 – the charity’s flagship fundraising challenge, covering 350 miles over 5 days of cycling.

The event takes place from 9th to 15th June, and commemorates the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Riding alongside fellow fundraisers and wounded, sick and injured beneficiaries, we will set off from Sainte-Mère-Église near Cherbourg, stopping at Omaha, Gold and Juno beaches before heading inland to visit Pegasus Bridge – site of the first glider landings just after midnight on 6th June 1944. From Caen the route then follows the path of the allied advance right through to Paris
