Story

Chairwoman Ran!

Thank you - delighted to finish my first ever road race, spurred on by thoughts of your generous donations.

Update One week to go!

Despite falling in Feb and pulling a muscle just after Easter, hopes are high of finishing on Sunday! Chairwoman running may end up being massively overtime, but will finish!

The Chairman Dances by John Adams, lasts about 13 minutes. The Chairwoman Runs has a likely running time of over one hour.  All in aid of improving the public loos at St George’s Bristol, the biggest source of audience complaints at this fantastic concert venue.

I’ve never run a road race before, so it’s a case of sustained hard work from now till May 15. If you are out and about before work in the morning, you might be lucky enough to see me panting my way around the harbourside or in Greville Smyth Park, or even up on the Downs.

The range of music at St George’s is amazing – and we’d like to improve facilities for our valued audiences. We need to raise £50,000 for the improvements we plan to make, so my aim is to raise £3,000 or more by setting myself this personal challenge.

If you’re a keen runner too, join me on May 15th and get your friends and colleagues to sponsor you for St George’s too. If you’re not interested in running, but are interested in music, please sponsor me and tell your friends to do so too.

Thank you for your great support.

Sarah
