Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As a very keen swimmer in my younger years I felt this challenge was perfect for me!  It's not the swim that I am most concerned about, it's the thought of swimming open water.  Lets just say, I am not really 'at one with nature,' so hopefully this should enable me to overcome my fears and stop wearing jelly shoes in the sea on holiday!

So far....I am managing to get a mile in the pool a couple of times a week, and aim to keep a log online of my dreaded open water training, when the weather eases obviously......

Having successfully completed the Dorney Lake challenge and in quite a good time for an old timer, I have signed up for the Channel as part of a relay team in mid September!

I will be competing at Blenheim Palace later this Summer and have stepped up the laps of the lake. Sea swimming next week, not looking forward to that at all!
