Those of you who know me well will be familiar with my aversion to climbing up things, hurling myself off things and other such 'extreme' pastimes! In fact, you are probably more well versed in my propensity for injury whilst partaking in the most innocuous of activities - torn cart cartilage from swimming and a ruptured disc from doing 'the monkies walk' on a hen night - both being cases in point! (Not to mention a recent gust of wind!!!!) So without risking life and limb, I've come up with a far cheekier way to raise some money for charity - A Sponsored Birthday!

As I celebrate my 40th year, instead of presents, I would like to help children who are suffering because of lack of clean water and healthcare, and as refugees and victims of war.

If you are one of my fabulous friends or family who generously buy me a card or present, please help me celebrate my birthday by making a donation to UNICEF instead.  Even the cost of a card will make a difference... and don't forget to Gift Aid you tax payers you!
