Isle of Wight Challenge 2022 · 30 April 2022 to 1 May 2022 ·
January 2022 marked three years since we lost Renly, who was taken from us too soon with a rare childhood cancer - Neuroblastoma. This aggressive disease affects around 100 children each year in the UK and is most common in children under the age of 5. It develops from specialised nerve cells (neuroblasts) left behind from a baby's development in the womb.
💛 The charity needs sponsorship now more than ever. Neuroblastoma UK anticipated a loss of over 30% in donations in 2021, which could delay their funding of vital neuroblastoma research for 2022 and beyond. They don’t receive any government funding and rely on voluntary donations to continue their work.
So in our “infinite wisdom”, Dad and I have decided to get our backsides off the sofa and take on the Isle of Wight Challenge in April. We will be walking 106km around the island, non-stop, over two days. Renly didn’t complain once during his hospital stays… and we’ll do our best not to as well (no guarantees!).
We would massively appreciate your support in any way possible and we know NBUK will be grateful of any donation you are able to make. ⭐️ The great news is that my lovely employers are going to make a very generous donation too. ⭐️
