Story

I'm raising money for a Half Marathon I completed in February 2021. I've waited until now to set up this page as I wanted to raise funds for the wonderful CoFarm, which has only gained charity status (and ability to fund-raise through JustGiving) very recently. I've been volunteering with CoFarm for more than a year now, and it has been an inspiration to see how people in the community have all pulled together to make this a tremendous success. But we need money! We donated all of our produce last year, and it costs around £58,000 per year to cover the costs of making this possible. Please help this project that has helped so many. A few years ago, I couldn't run to the end of the road, but since doing my first Couch to 5K I've kept going and have now completed my very first half marathon, which I'm immensely proud of - so please dig deep my lovely friends :)

CoFarm Foundation brings people together to grow and share nutritious food, build stronger communities and healthier ecosystems. Throughout the pandemic, over 200 volunteers came together in Cambridge to start the Foundation's first community farm. In its first season, CoFarm Cambridge organically grew over 4.5 tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetables and donated all of it to 8 community food hubs. We are on track to double this output in 2021. Please help me to raise the funds needed to cover CoFarm Cambridge's basic running costs and support the community food hubs for a second season. The funds will cover the costs of two expert part-time horticulturists to lead the growing and supervise the volunteer co-farmers. It will also help buy tools, horticultural supplies and a composting loo for volunteers! If we exceed the campaign target, extra funds will go towards establishing a community barn for the farm and a green woodworking area.Any amount you can give would be fantastic!
