Sarah's Possible Death by Cycling

Having read several cycling books recently, and looking forward to the Tour de France starting in England this year, one evening I decided to join Paul and the other FosterLoonies and enter the Yorkshire Depart. This is a 122 mile road event following the route that will be day 1 of the Tour de France 2014. Yes, that's 122 miles. My start time is 8.30am, and I think I am expected to finish the same day! My longest ride so far is 76 miles so it's a big challenge for me. I think that I can complete in about 11 hours if conditions are good.
So I thought I would try to raise some money for the Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People along the way, in memory of Daniel, our second child who died 5 years ago this month. The Hospice provided much needed help and support to us from when he was diagnosed until some time after his death - I don't know how we would have coped without it.
I was worried about asking people for sponsorship when I wasn't convinced I could complete the challenge so I am doing it again, as a two day ride later in June with Linda. So, one way or another, I will be completing the course at least once.
And this massive struggle for me is day 1 of three weeks of riding for the Tour de France guys - respect.
