Story
As part of Doncaster & Bassetlaw's very first Christmas fundraising campaign, they'll be lighting up their hospitals with beautiful star lights, each which have been sponsored by local businesses, schools and individuals to thank our NHS staff for going above and beyond this year, remember those they have lost and show patients in our care that their community is here for them. As a proud sponsor of one of the stars, you can support me to go above and beyond for our local hospitals by making a donation.
Over the years my family and friends have all benefited from our local NHS and I wanted to give something back to say thank you. For us personally, my mum has received a number of major surgeries, some which saved her life and she's currently at Bassetlaw Hospital now kicking COVID in the butt!
My sister gave us all a scare when she had some complications with preeclampsia and Georgie had to come into the world early at 33 weeks to keep them both safe. Georgie received such special care in SCBU and when you see her now you wouldn't even know she was once a tiny 3lb 5!
Last year my Nanny also had her own stint in hospital and between all of my friends and family members we've had no end of babies born out of Bassetlaw and Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
I'm so grateful for all the care they've received and I want to do something to give something back. I'm sponsoring this star for for all my friends and family who want to help me say thank you.
All I need is 30 friends to each donate £10, but if you can donate more and help me raise more it will make such a difference.
