Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and my partner are going to climb Ben Nevis to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society on the 9th May. Did you know that there are over 100 different types of dementia? Nowadays it is common for us to know of someone with the disease.

To actually have someone in your family affected by dementia is upsetting for all, especially when that person was such a strong family figure. My Great Uncle was diagnosed some years ago. Sadly he passed away last year. So by doing this sponsored walk for the Alzheimer's Society I can raise money for a society that helps and supports so many people and at the same time give something back to a man who has given so much to his family and friends. This is for you Uncle Roy.

Please give anything you can to this cause, even if its £1. Every penny helps. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
