Last year I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and after major surgery and chemotherapy I thought I had won the battle.

My cancer has now come back and my fight continues......

The month of March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month and on 26th February 2011 I will be getting my head shaved to raise money for G.R.A.C.E (my Oncologists research charity: www.grace-charity.org.uk) and also for Target Ovarian Cancer (www.targetovarian.org.uk)

This is a very personal event for me and I would like to raise money towards researching and raising awarenss of Ovarian Cancer. Maybe one day there will be a cure - or at least screening for this disease.

Approx 7000 women a year are diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and approx 4500 women a year die from it.  The UK has one of the worst survival rates of Ovarian Cancer in Europe. Its not good enough.
