FLEET the Front Line Emergency equipment Trust is a registered charity formed by Ambulance staff in 1990 who provide emergency equipment to teams across Cornwall including 999 Ambulances, Coast Guards and Helicopters!!

 

More recently FLEET, with the British Heart Foundation, has been instrumental in the creation and equipping of First Responders who are members of the public trained to provide critical lifesaving treatment including defibrillation in their local area. This has helped to reduce emergency response times by 3% and ultimately save lives.

 

 

 

The population of Cornwall doubles over the summer months placing a huge burden on the three emergency services and one county hospital. A mobile treatment centre based predominantly in Newquay eases this pressure.

 

I have been running for two years and this is my first marathon and Im really looking forward to the challenge and won’t let you down!
