Hi Guys - I DID IT! It was the hardest thing I've ever done, but I made it to the peak of Kilimanjaro at 5895m. All the hard work is worthwhile due to your donations to KIND, a great children's charity. This summer I've decided to undertake the biggest challenge of my life by attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with a group of students from Newcastle Uni. Kili is the world's highest freestanding mountain, rising 5895 metres high. I'll experience temperatures ranging from 30 degrees at base camp, to -20 degrees at the summit. My 21st birthday is going to be spent on the mountain, but with your help, every step of the way is going to be worth it.

I have decided to support KIND (Kids in Need & Distress). This is a charity local to me in Liverpool, who help children, young people, and their families overcome disadvantage and help them to change their lives for the better. KIND believe that education is key to showing less fortunate children that the future is bright.

£350 would enable a child to experience their first ever week away from home in the Welsh countryside, giving them the chance to take part in a wide range of activities designed to show they themselves, and life, have more to offer. £100 enables a child to attend KIND's education centre for one week, allowing them to take part in things that most of us take for granted. £45 would pay for a large family sized Christmas food hamper, helping to make christmas a little more special and less stressful for families in need.
