Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My reasons for joining this challenge are twofold:

As you may know, I had several health concerns during 2018 but was greatly supported by my family and friends.   As part of my ongoing rehabilitation, I aim to get fitter and stronger by training for and completing this epic walk along parts of the Great Wall of China in 2020.  Whilst I did not need to use the services of the Hospice, I am eternally grateful for the support and expertise of all the medical and caring professionals who have helped support my recovery to date.

Secondly, I was inspired by a colleague, Ms Rebecca Jackson, who completed a fundraising walk through India in 2018 for St Barnabas House.  She raised a considerable amount of money for the hospice and I aspire to do the same.  Whilst we support this charity at school with various fundraising events, I too am hoping to raise the profile of this worthwhile cause in and around our local area.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
